Our children love attending school and we make every effort to encourage a “Sense of HEART” in our children. Our school aims to instill Honesty, Enthusiasm, Achievement, Respect and Try Our Best in all of our pupils.

We are promoting our values by educating the students on what they mean and rewarding students at assemblies and around the school when they demonstrate these values. We are starting off 2009 focusing on Respect.

The senior pupils in the school also have responsibilities that include the roles of School Leader, House Captains and Librarians.

The children also organise lunch time events like soccer, tug-of-war and cleanup activities to keep the school looking tidy. House points are collected and the winning House earns a treat at the end of each term as well as working towards a yearly winning house.

The Mayfield pupils have a lot of pride in their school environment and resources and enjoy taking part in the school wide activities. Our students have established school vegetable gardens and take a lot of pride in growing and using our vegetables in meaningful ways.
